> Our modlist is a great place to start and then you can customize everything as you wish.&#x20;

### Required Mods:&#x20;

#### Custom Armor

> **Forge:** Optifine <https://optifine.net/downloads>
>
> **Fabric:** CIT Resewn <https://modrinth.com/mod/cit-resewn/versions>\
> \
> This is required to see all of the custom armors. Without this, you will just see leather armor on everyone. If that's what you see, something is wrong with this mod.&#x20;

**Tooltip Scroll**

> **Forge:** Unsure...&#x20;
>
> **Fabric:** Tooltip Scroll <https://modrinth.com/mod/tooltip-scroll/versions>

# Troubleshooting

<details>

<summary>I only see Leather Armor instead of custom armor! </summary>

If using Lunar Client, follow [this](https://docs.cryptocraftgame.com/season-2-mmo/welcome/pages/FOK9EF60708ZsFb8eQpS#id-2.-change-version-to-1.19.4) and make sure the "OF" (optifine) is selected.\
If using a different client or custom setup, "Optifine" is required **OR** "CIT Resewn" on Fabric. [Read more here. ](/season-2-mmo/welcome/setup#custom-armor)

</details>

<details>

<summary>The skill bar, health bar, or hotbar looks messed up! </summary>

If using LunarClient, read [this](https://docs.cryptocraftgame.com/season-2-mmo/welcome/pages/FOK9EF60708ZsFb8eQpS#id-3.-turn-off-use-custom-boss-bar). **Follow step 3 and 4.** \
\
If using another client or custom mods, you've adjusted your bossbar or GUI scale somehow. Try turning off anything that sounds like "Custom Bossbar" or "GUI Scaling". On Vanilla, this should work fine so try the recommended [modlist](/season-2-mmo/welcome/setup#recommended-modlist).&#x20;

# Class Focus

One of the most innovative features in S2 is the Class Focus system. This unique system allows players to instantly switch between classes while keeping all of their other skills, professions, and items. This means that players can quickly play in any playstyle they like without having to start over or lose progress.

With the Class Focus system, players can easily switch between classes to adapt to different situations. If you're in a raid and the group needs a different class to fill a specific role, you can easily switch to that class and contribute to the group's success. And when the raid is over, you can switch back to your original class and continue to progress.

The Class Focus system also allows for more variety in player's playstyle. Players can experiment with different classes and find the perfect combination of skills and abilities that suit their personal playstyle. It also encourages players to try out different classes they might not have otherwise considered.

Overall, the Class Focus system is a massive benefit to players in S2. It allows players to play the game in any way they like, without being locked into a specific class or playstyle. It also makes the game more exciting, giving players the opportunity to try out new classes and strategies, and adapt to different situations.

Each class has unique skills, armor, weapons, and offers unique gameplay. From the fast and deadly Assassin to the armored Paladin, each class has unique weapons, armors, and abilities.&#x20;

###

### Choose your class at any time:

**Assassin**: Unleash deadly precision and lightning-fast movement as you take down enemies with your dual wielding katanas and daggers. Master the art of stealth and deception to strike from the shadows.

**Paladin**: Become a bastion of defense for your allies, wielding mighty hammers and great swords to shield your team and vanquish your foes. Take on the toughest challenges and protect your teammates with powerful abilities.

**Ranger**: Take out your enemies from a distance with your deadly bow and musket. Outmaneuver and outsmart your enemies with your agility and precision. Strike at the critical weak points of your enemies with your precise shots.

**Sorcerer**: Command the elements and unleash devastating spells to decimate your enemies. Whether you choose to focus on dealing damage or healing your allies, your mastery of magic will make you a force to be reckoned with. Wield staffs or wands to control the battlefield.

### Focus - Class Changing System

Players can "Focus" on one class at a time and change their focus at any time. Each class has a separate skill level that increases through successful combat.&#x20;

{% hint style="success" %}
To change your class, open your MetaMenu and select "Focus"
{% endhint %}

## Unique Abilities

There are currently 17 classes in-game each with completely unique abilities. Most classes have 5 base abilities triggered with 5 button combinations. These abilities will be listed on the weapon.

{% hint style="info" %}
Higher tier weapons unlock more of your class abilities so not all weapons will have access to all class abilities.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

#### **Triggers:**&#x20;

1. **Left Click**&#x20;
2. **Right Click**&#x20;
3. **Crouch + Left Click**&#x20;
4. **Crouch + Right Click**&#x20;
5. **Double Crouch (Crouch Crouch Quickly)**&#x20;

### **Combo Abilities**&#x20;

Many classes have "Combo Abilities" which are triggered with a combination of effects and/or abilities. **Combo Abilities are NOT displayed on the weapon.** They are **ONLY** shown in the class info menu. Since each combo is different, the class info menu will describe how to trigger the combo.&#x20;

For example, a combo trigger could be "dash (right click) and then hit an enemy with your basic attack (left click) within 0.5 seconds".&#x20;

# Skills

There are currently 11 skills in the Beta, excluding the 4 Class Focus Skills. These skills fall into one of the following categories:&#x20;

1. Gathering
2. Refining
3. Crafting

### Gathering

Gathering skills are one of the most straightforward skills in S2. These skills allow players to extract raw materials from the world. These skills currently include: Mining, Woodcutting, and Farming.&#x20;

As players gain levels, they will unlock the ability to gather better resources, use better tools, and gain yield bonuses

To gather resources, find them in the world and use the correct tool. When resources are harvested, the resource will automatically regenerate after a short cooldown.&#x20;

Players also get bonus Loot based on their [Specialization](/season-2-mmo/specialization) Level and Fortune stat.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
Read more about [Compacting](/season-2-mmo/materials-and-loot#compacting) the raw materials you gather
{% endhint %}

### Refining

Refining skills allow players to transform raw materials into usable ingredients for crafting. Most materials from Gathering skills must be refined before they can be used for anything. Higher levels allow players to refine better materials.&#x20;

Current skills: Smelting & Woodworking.

### Crafting

Crafting skills give players the power to transform materials into usable Weapons, Armor, Enchantments, Potions, Food, and more.&#x20;

Many crafting skills have unique mechanics to allow for interesting interactions between players and the gear they create. For example, creating enchanting books requires 3 separate ingredients with the final outcome determined by a complex set of interactions between those ingredients.

Some crafting, like cooking, is simpler by just converting raw materials into predefined cooked foods. &#x20;

# Gathering Skills

### Mining

Gain xp by mining ores.&#x20;

**Locations:** Goblin Mines, Dragon Pit

**Resources:** Coal, Copper, Iron, Gold, Netherite&#x20;

### Woodcutting

Gain xp by chopping logs.&#x20;

**Locations:** Farming Village, Viking Port&#x20;

**Resources:** Oak, Birch, Spruce, Dark Oak, and Jungle logs.&#x20;

### Farming

Gain xp by harvesting raw food.&#x20;

**Locations:** Farming Village, Dragon Pit

**Resources:** Wheat, Carrot, Potato, Beetroot, Pumpkin&#x20;

# Refining Skills

Most compact resources must be refined before they can be useful for crafting.&#x20;

### Smelting

Convert Compact Ores into Ingots. Gain xp by crafting ingots.&#x20;

Coal -> Washed Coal&#x20;

Copper -> Copper Ingot&#x20;

Iron -> Iron Ingot

Gold -> Gold Ingot

Craft Mining Pickaxes.&#x20;

### Woodworking

Convert Compact Logs into Planks. Mainly gain xp by crafting Planks.&#x20;

Craft Tool Handles.&#x20;

Craft Woodcutting Axes.&#x20;

# Crafting Skills

### Cooking

Cooking converts Compact raw food into Cooked Food which can be eaten to increase hunger. Higher level food also grants useful stat buffs.&#x20;

The cooking station is located in the windmill at the Farming Village. Inside the windmill, go up the stairs and right click on the stove to open the menu.

### Alchemy

Alchemy allows players to craft potions. The most common potion instantly heals HP but there are other potions which grant short-term buffs to players or remove negative effects.&#x20;

Health potions are crafted using Lucky Feathers, Rabbits Foot, and Amber. Lucky Feathers and Rabbits Foot are collected with the Farming Chase Game while Amber is a rare Loot drop from any log.&#x20;

### Weaponsmithing

Crafting weapons is an important part of S2 since every single weapon used is crafted by players.&#x20;

Each class has their own crafting station containing all the recipes for their weapons.&#x20;

The level of the crafted weapon will be equal to the players Weaponsmithing skill level. Many of the stats scale up with the weapon level so higher level crafters will be able to create more powerful weapons.&#x20;

Every weapon requires Tool Handles, Ingots, and a mob drop. Some weapons also require Essence to craft. Essence can be dropped by mobs or obtained in Dungeons.&#x20;

### Armoring

Crafting armor is mechanically similar to Weaponsmithing. The main difference is the material requirements. Armors require much more metal than wood.&#x20;

### Enchanting

The Enchanting skill allows players to craft enchanting books. These books can then be traded/sold and applied to weapons/armor/tools.&#x20;

With this skill, players combine 3 materials to create 1 enchanted book. This book can later be applies to gear by using an anvil.&#x20;

**Arcane Book:** These book have 5 tiers and can be crafted at the Arcane Station (x: -12, z: -986). Higher tier books have access to a larger pool of enchantment options and increase the power of the final enchantment. For example, some enchantments are only possible using a Tier 3 or higher book. Even though some enchantments are possible with a Tier 1 book, higher tiers will give you increase the level of the selected enchantment.&#x20;

**Blueprint:** The blueprint decides which item type the final enchantment works with. For example, if you use a *Dagger Blueprint* the final enchantment will be guaranteed to work on all Dagger weapons. Blueprints are obtained at the **Study Table** (x: -129, z: -970). The study process will destory the item but grant blueprints and repair scrap.&#x20;

**Essence:** The final material is a bit of a mystery as the secrets of essence are heavily guarded by the wizards guild. We know that this has a major impact on which final enchantment is selected. Each combination of Arcane Book Tier and type of Essence creates a different chance of getting each enchantment. Experiment with the process to learn the secrets of the Essence!&#x20;

**Enchanting Station:** The station is found in the Viking Town at (x: -68, z: -1033). Input the 3 materials and click the green cube to complete the craft. You will gain Enchanting Skill Experience based on the quality of the materials used in crafting.&#x20;

# Specialization

Most resources in the game have a "Specialization Track" that players can level up. As resources are gathered, the specialization for that specific resource gains experience.&#x20;

Achieving higher levels unlock unique recipes and grants bonus rare drops just for that resource.&#x20;

This mechanic allows players to specialize in gathering their favorite type of wood or ore and earn lots of bonus rewards.&#x20;

{% hint style="warning" %}
Only vanilla items have specializations. You must pickup the items off the ground for them to count. Items purchased or traded by any means do not improve specialization.
{% endhint %}

### Bonus Loot when gathering

As players increase Specialization for a specific item, they will start receiving Bonus Loot as they gather raw materials. Higher specialization levels increase the chances of receiving loot.&#x20;

This gathering loot will be a Compact version of whichever material is being gathered.&#x20;

For example, a player has Specialization 7 in Wheat and has higher chances to receive [Compact](/season-2-mmo/materials-and-loot#compacting) Wheat every time they farm wheat. This Loot bonus goes directly into the players inventory and does not count towards further increasing Specialization levels.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
Read more about how to improve Loot chances [here](/season-2-mmo/materials-and-loot)

# Materials & Loot

### Compacting&#x20;

Most materials gathered from the world must be "Compacted" to be used in Refining or Crafting.&#x20;

64 materials = 1 compact material.&#x20;

For example, every tree block grants the player 1 Oak Log item. **64 Oak Logs can be converted into 1 "Compact Oak Log"**

Compacting items has no other requirements such as skill levels. Any player can compact any number of items.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
Visit the Compactor Station in the Viking Village to see the recipes and compact items
{% endhint %}

## **Loot Explanation.**

Loot is split into 2 categories: Specialization Loot & Rarity Loot.

#### **Specialization Loot**

When a player gathers any resource, they have a chance to loot an extra Compact resource. The odds of this happening can be improved with the appropriate **Specialization** level.&#x20;

This loot always drops a Compact version of the material related to the specialization. Gathering wheat will grant you Compact Wheat and killing skeletons will give you Compact Bones.

1. The chance of receiving the loot is improved with your specialization level.
2. The amount of compact you receive starts at 1 and increases with your related Fortune Stat (Farming, Combat, Mining, Woodcutting)

#### **Rarity Loot**

This loot gives you all kinds of different items and is calculated separately from the Specialization Loot. Mobs give essence as part of their Rarity Loot and wood logs give Amber.

1. The chance of receiving the loot is the **same for all players** and depends on how rare the drop is
2. The amount you receive will increase with your related Fortune Stat.

For example: Any player killing a Goblin Swordsman has a 5% chance of looting a Gray Essence. Based on your ‘Combat Fortune’ stat, you might receive anywhere from 1-5 Gray Essence when you get the loot.

{% hint style="success" %}
The **Fortune stat** can be increased permanently by leveling Skills. Players can also temporarily increase their Fortune stat by consuming food, equipping gear, or activating pets.
{% endhint %}

# Gear

## **Concept**&#x20;

The concept is to give the power to players to use different systems to create powerful gear. All gear will be craftable by players where the weapon level and starting stats depend on crafting levels and a little bit of luck. Each piece of gear will be unique with a \~99.99% (1 in 81 billion to be more accurate) chance no other item has the exact same stats. Even the same player crafting the same weapon two times in a row will produce slightly different results.\
\
The goal is to create a system where there is NO “**one sword is objectively better than all others in all situations.**” Each weapon has a different combination of strengths and weaknesses that make it better in certain situations against certain enemies. This also pushes for a strong trading economy as players will be gearing up with different sets for different instances of the game.&#x20;

#### **Blend of skill and luck**&#x20;

Crafters are rewarded for their efforts with skills levels that guarantee a minimum weapon level but luck is still required to produce the ultra rare highest level weapons. This further pushes for a strong player-trading economy where materials have value, crafting is rewarding, and progressing through the game is enjoyable. &#x20;

#### **Components**&#x20;

Every weapon & armor piece will have several components coming together to produce the final result.&#x20;

These are decided when the gear is crafted:&#x20;

1. Stats&#x20;
2. Ability&#x20;
3. Modifiers&#x20;

These improve the gear after crafting:&#x20;

1. Upgrades&#x20;
2. Enchantments&#x20;
3. Elemental Damage

### The following is set during the Gear Craft:

#### **1. Stats**

Each gear will have different stats like Critical Hit Chance, Attack Speed, and Damage. Not all gear provides all stats so players choose which weapons match their preferred gameplay style. Different combinations of stats are better in different situations.&#x20;

For a simple example: faster attack speeds are better against mobs of smaller enemies while slower attacks with higher damage are better against slower-moving mobs who hit hard.<br>

A single weapon will have the same number of stats applied but the strength of the stats is different on every craft. Each weapon will have a unique "feel" to it and encourage specific gameplay. With a wide selection of weapons, player will have TONS of fun testing different weapons and gameplay styles.<br>

#### **2. Abilities**&#x20;

Abilities are attached to the weapons allowing player to change their abilities simply by using another weapon. These are active skills activated with a combination of buttons like "right click" or "crouch + right click".&#x20;

Some are small effects that might deal bonus damage or push back enemies. Some are movement abilities like dashes and short periods of flight. Some are powerful area of effect (AOE) abilities like spawning blizzards or tornadoes. There are many more types like buffing nearby players, spawning friendly mobs, changing the environment, and more.&#x20;

Gameplay will be fun and fresh as combat can completely change depending on the abilities provided by your weapons.&#x20;

#### **3. Modifiers**

Modifiers are passive abilities that generally activate when players are using weapons or taking damage on armor. Things like applying poison on hit or a small chance of spawning lightning strikes that jump from enemy to enemy.&#x20;

Modifiers are luck based with the number of modifiers and power of each one depending on the weapon rarity. Item rarity is chance based and decided on item craft so even low forging level players have a chance to craft ultra-rare weapons with powerful modifiers.

### The following are added to gear after crafting:

#### **1. Upgrades**&#x20;

Every weapon & piece of armor can be upgraded several times to further increase the stats, elemental dmg, and ability dmg after the initial craft. This works by taking the base number and applying a small percent increase per upgrade.&#x20;

This allows players to find a weapon they enjoy using and keep upgrading it as they progress through the game. Many games follow a pattern where players use a weapon for a short time and then throw it away once they level up and find a slightly better weapon.&#x20;

We still have item progression since the base level of the weapon never changes but in S2 players can craft an item in the early game and upgrade it as they play into the late game.&#x20;

#### **2. Enchantments**

Enchantments are also applied to weapons after they are crafted. We have over 200+ custom enchantments.&#x20;

Enchantments can be added to weapons through enchantment books similar to vanilla but obtained through unique tasks. The enchantments are also setup to be better in some situations and worse in others so players can fine-tune their gear to specific instances. The tasks required to craft enchantment books are unique enough where players can essentially be full time "enchanters" completing tasks to obtain the best enchantments for their clients.

#### **3. Elemental Damage**

There are 6 base elements in the game. Weapons can deal elemental damage and armors provide resistance. The base elements are organized where each element is *stronger* against one other and *weaker* against a different one. Most mobs deal part of their damage as elemental and can be protected against some elements and weak to others.&#x20;

For example: *Fire damage deals bonus damage to an ice mob while a wind mob will deal lots of damage to a player wearing fire resistance armors.*&#x20;

This is a major factor in supporting our dynamic item balance. One sword might be perfect against a specific mob but weak against another. One armor might be great for the beginning of the dungeon but is weak against the final boss.&#x20;

# Item Levels

The item level sets the base power of stats and ability damage. This level is skill + luck based.&#x20;

When a player crafts a weapon, there is a normal distribution curve around their crafting level. For example, a player with crafting level 45 crafts 10 weapons and most of them will be around lvl 45. It will be just as rare for them to produce a lvl 30 weapon as it is to produce a lvl 60 weapon.&#x20;

This distribution creates generally consistent progression through the game (as players crafting lvl increases, their average weapon lvl produced will increase) while keeping crafting exciting as players always have the chance to craft much higher level weapons than usual.&#x20;

Once the weapon lvl is decided, the stats are also calculated on a normal distribution curve around the weapon lvl. So two lvl 45 weapons will still have different stats. And each stat is run on its own curve. So one lvl 45 weapon MIGHT be objectively better where all stats are higher BUT it's much more likely that some stats are higher while others are lower.&#x20;

For example, two of the same lvl 45 weapon are crafted but one has slightly better attack speed while another has slightly higher critical hit chance. In the end, its HIGHLY unlikely that two crafted weapons will ever have the same base stats.

{% hint style="info" %}
Randomized item levels begin at item level 10. For example, weaponsmithing level 9 will **always** craft a level 9 weapon with no level variation.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

# Gear Upgrades

Gear upgrades are a great way to increase the power of your weapons & armor. Upgrades increase several base stats like 'Attack Damage', 'Critical Chance', and 'Lifesteal'.&#x20;

Each upgrade will increase the stats by 1%. Most classes upgrade similar stats but some have 1 or 2 unique stats which receive upgrades. For example, Ninja weapons upgrade 'Lifesteal' while 'Guardians' upgrade 'Parry Rating'.

### How to Upgrade

Visit the `Gear Upgrades` NPC to start the process. Place your weapon or armor in the left slot and hover your mouse on the wool to see the ingredients required to upgrade.

<figure><img src="/files/Ic1hxTO1e4FeI0exOIOs" alt=""><figcaption><p>Place item in left slot &#x26; hover over the wool to see required items</p></figcaption></figure>

### Ingredients&#x20;

Powders and shards are used for all upgrade recipes. There are 5 tiers of powders and 5 tiers of shards. The tier of ingredient must match the tier of the weapon/armor. The required amount of ingredient starts at 1 and increases as the item is upgraded.&#x20;

**Powders**: Used to upgrade weapons

**Shards:** Upgrades Armor

| Number of Upgrades | Ingredients Per Upgrade |
| ------------------ | ----------------------- |
| 1-8                | 1                       |
| 9-16               | 3                       |
| 17-24              | 9                       |
| 25-32              | 27                      |

{% hint style="info" %}
Example: A tier 4 weapon with 0 upgrades.

Requires **Shards** (because it's a weapon) of **Tier 4** (to match the item tier) and **One Ingredient** (we're upgrading from 0 to 1 so check 1-8 in chart above).&#x20;

After 8 upgrades (using 8 total shards), this weapon still requires **Tier 4 Shards** but now we need **3** of them to get to level 9.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

###

### Finding Ingredients through Enchanted Mobs

Powders and Shards can be collected in a few ways. Players can randomly receive some from completing Contracts and Dungeons but there is a guaranteed way to receive ingredients by hunting **Enchanted Mobs.**

Every mob has a chance of spawning as an 'Enchanted' version. These mobs are much stronger with more HP and damage. You can tell a mob is enchanted by the colored particle circle around their legs.&#x20;

The spawning is completely random and all nearby players are alerted in chat when the mob spawns. Enchanted mobs spawn in a variety of rarities (Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic) and this rarity determines how many ingredients the mob will drop. The higher level the base mob, the higher tier ingredients they will drop.&#x20;

For example, Enchanted Level 10 Goblin Swordsman will drop Tier 1 ingredients will level 45 Skeleton Archers will drop Tier 3. The ingredients drop as [Loot](/season-2-mmo/materials-and-loot) right into players inventory but the amount is determined by Enchanted Rarity instead of the normal Loot mechanics.&#x20;

{% hint style="success" %}
Whenever you see the chat notification of Enchanted Mobs spawning, it's always worth it to locate the mob and defeat them!&#x20;
{% endhint %}

### Infusing Ingredients

As you find shards and powders in the world, you will have many of them from tier 1 through 5. It's always worth holding onto them because you can combine the lower tier ingredients into higher tiers.&#x20;

This process is done at the infusing station. Infusing allows you to combine 5 ingredients of the same type and tier to create one tier higher.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
25  'Tier 3' Shards will infuse and create 5 'Tier 4' shards. You can then infuse those and create one 'Tier 5' Shard.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

# Enchanting

Each piece of gear (weapon or armor) can have up to 10 enchantments. Enchantments cannot be removed or changed once added. They can provide stat buffs, passive skills, or any number of positive effects. Enchantments are added to items using Enchanting Books. Each book will add a specific enchantment to the item. Any player can add Enchanting Books to items with no skill/stat restrictions but creating the books is a unique process.&#x20;

### **How to create Enchanting Books**

Players use their Enchanting Skill to combine 3 different materials to create Enchanting Books. Players can heavily influence which enchantment they create but never 100% decide what they get. A combination of Enchanting Skill, player knowledge, and quality of items used in crafting decides the enchantment and power.&#x20;

#### **Crafting Basics**

Combine an Arcane Book with an Item Blueprint and an Essence to create one Enchanting Book. This book can then be used by any player to add one specific enchantment of a certain power to their item. Books can be traded or sold to allow for a profitable Enchanting Skill.

#### **Arcane Book**

Arcane Books are crafted using wood and essence and there are 5 tiers of books. Higher tier books require higher tier materials. Wood comes from the Woodcutting Skill and the essence from Combat and Dungeons.&#x20;

Higher tier Arcane Books unlock more possible Enchantment options during the Enchantment crafting. For example, some enchantments are only possible with a tier 3 book. Now since the list of possible enchantments grows with each tier, this also means that some enchantments have higher odds using lower tier books.&#x20;

For example, an enchantment that unlocks with a tier 3 book has the best odds with a tier 3 book. Tier 4 and 5 books, have more options so players are less likely to get that exact enchantment. This is one part where player knowledge helps to efficiently craft specific enchantments. Players should be able to be "Full Time Enchanters" with the knowledge to craft any specific enchantments while being most efficient with their resources.&#x20;

#### **Item Blueprint**

The item blueprint decides which type of item the final enchantment will work with.&#x20;

For example, using a Dagger Blueprint will guarantee that the enchantment can be applied to any Dagger. **Blueprints are acquired by Studying items.** "Studying" an item destroys the item but rewards the player with Repair Scrap and Blueprints. The blueprints will always match the type of the item studied.&#x20;

The rarity of the item determines the number of blueprints received. Rarity (common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, mythic) of an item is set during crafting and can never be changed. Rarity is also completely random with no way to adjust the odds for any craft. The purpose of this is to create value for even low level crafters who manage to craft a rare (but low level weapon). For example, a level 5 weaponsmith crafts a basic tier 1 dagger and receives a Level 6 Legendary Dagger. The level 6 is fairly low so the stats will be low for damage and probably not worth much for Combat but the Legendary rarity means this Dagger is very valuable to Study and receive many blueprints and repair scrap.

#### **Essence**&#x20;

Essence comes in 5 tiers and is always dropped by players killing mobs and bosses. Specific mobs will only drop 1 type of essence so players will know who to focus while they're looking for a specific essence. Higher difficulty mobs generally drop higher tier essence. The essence takes the final list of possible enchantments from the Arcane Book and Item Blueprint and influences the selection process. The selection values will never be shared so it's up to players to figure out which essence has higher odds for which enchantments. Basically, this is the secret sauce that allows players to influence the selection process.

#### **Player Knowledge**

It's up to players to work together or individually to discover the recipe combinations that leads to the best odds for the enchantment they want. Over time, we can see groups of players sharing information with each other or even Factions of Enchanters closely guarding their secret formulas they've perfected over hundreds or thousands of crafts.&#x20;

#### **Enchanting Skill**

The Enchanting Skill is also a part of the final calculation. It has a big impact on the power of the enchantment after it's been selected. So player knowledge and the ability to collect the required materials mostly decides which enchantment is selected but the power is heavily influenced by the Enchanting Skill. This skill increases every time an enchantment is crafted.&#x20;

#### **Economy**

Crafting Enchanting Books requires several skills (Woodcutting, Woodworking, Farming, Enchanting, Combat, Weaponsmithing/Armoring) so the final products will be valuable and drive lots of economic activity. It's very likely that several players will work together during the entire process. All of the base materials can be bought/sold in the Trading Market to support the sales volume of materials from all these skills.&#x20;

Players are able to focus on gathering and leveling all these skills to allow themselves to craft enchantments from start to finish or they can simply buy the required materials and invest all of their time in learning the best combinations to create the most profitable enchantments.&#x20;

# Pets

Pets are very useful in your adventure, providing fast movement over terrain, high HP values to escape combat, and even helping you in combat with their own unique abilities!&#x20;

There are two kinds of pets: **Mounts** and **Companions.**&#x20;

## Mounts

As the name suggests, you can ride mounts to quickly travel the land, sea, and air! Mounts have their own HP and will take all damage instead of the player. This means riding mounts is generally safer than running on foot.&#x20;

If your mount HP ever reaches 0, you will be 'dismounted',  your mount will be recalled and unable to be summoned again for 60 seconds. You're now on your own!&#x20;

Different mounts have different HP levels, hp regen speed, hitbox sizes, movement speed, and some even have movement abilities like dashes.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
Pandas move slowly but have very large health pools. These mounts are great for confidently moving through dangerous terrain knowing you will have plently of time to react before you're dismounted.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

## Companions

These loyal pets will help you in combat using their unique abilities. There are 60 pets to collect with abilities ranging from summoning healing totems to casting ice storms that freeze enemies. Most companions will have basic attacks and will run around helping you fight your enemies and casting their abilities whenever available. They have their own HP and health regeneration.&#x20;

Companions will try to survive for as long as possible but if their HP reaches 0, they recall and cannot be summoned again for 2 minutes.&#x20;

As they level up, they will have more HP, defense, and deal more damage for helping in stronger fights!&#x20;

##

## Pet Levels

As Mounts and Companions level up, they increase in HP and Power to deal more damage with attacks and abilities. Pets level up by eating "Cookies". Summon your pet and right click on them while holding a cookie to feed them.&#x20;

You can view your pet current level, Xp, and stats by opening their menu.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
To open your pet menu, summon your pet and then "Crouch + Right Click" on them.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

# Contracts

Contracts are sets of random tasks players complete for great rewards. Each Contract has a random number of tasks which must be completed in order. Players start by seeing the first task and new tasks unlock as they are completed. Players never know how many tasks are needed to complete to finish the Contract until they reach the hidden number.&#x20;

The Contract is a physical object stored in your inventory which can be stored in Banks or even traded with other players. Progress of tasks is stored in the item so other players can finish half-completed contracts and claim the rewards.&#x20;

When players receive a new contract, a random rarity is assigned. Rarer contracts give better rewards but also have harder tasks and require more to be completed.&#x20;

Players can purchase two Contracts per hour: One using $EMRD and one using vanilla experience.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
The player to complete the final task will receive 100% of the reward, regardless of who completed any previous tasks.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

# Fast Travel

Use your MetaMenu and select "Fast Travel" to quickly teleport to any location. The current Beta offers 5 unique locations.&#x20;

{% hint style="success" %}
The Viking Town and Farming Village are the only two peaceful locations
{% endhint %}

# Dungeons

### Gameplay

Dungeons are custom combat experiences crafted to be challenging and rewarding for a group of 5 players. The maze-like rooms have lots of hidden chests guarded by vicious mobs. Explore all the rooms, find all the loot, and attempt to defeat the final boss.&#x20;

After killing the final boss and completing the dungeon, all players receive all the loot they've managed to find.&#x20;

Fail to complete the dungeon and you end up with nothing...

### Party

Filling up a party is the first step in successfully completing a dungeon. Players can be invited using a command or just right click on any player and click "Party." You can also start a Recruitment to fill up your party.&#x20;

1. Create party with the following command: **/party create \<name of party>**
2. Invite players with: **/party invite \<name of player>**&#x20;
3. Right click a player and select "Party"
4. In the dungeons menu, start a **Recruitment**

{% hint style="warning" %}
**\[BETA]** There is currently no GUI to create a Party. There will soon be an entire menu for managing your party. For now, please use the commands like /party create /party kick and /party invite&#x20;
{% endhint %}

### Dungeon Location

There is currently one location in the Beta. Open your MetaMenu, click "Dungeons", click "The Forgotten Tombs."

### Dungeon Level

Most dungeons have multiple levels which increase in difficulty. The type of mobs remain the same but the amounts and levels increase.&#x20;

Higher dungeon levels offer better rewards!

# Conquest PVP

Conquest is a thrilling group-PvP mechanic, designed to engage players in mid-to-late game content. Players join one of three factions, compete against each other to capture Hideouts scattered across the world, and earn valuable rewards. Conquest encourages players to improve their gear and skills as they vie for control of these strategic locations.

#### Factions

Players choose from one of the following factions, each with its unique identity and purpose:

1. The Sunwarden Order: A zealous brotherhood dedicated to preserving balance and order in the world.
2. The Stormchasers: A daring league of adventurers, driven by the pursuit of knowledge and uncharted territories.
3. The Shadowbound: A secretive cabal, wielding the powers of darkness to achieve their enigmatic goals.

#### Hideouts

Hideouts are special locations found throughout the game world, acting as focal points for Conquest battles. To claim a Hideout, players must first clear it of monsters and defeat a challenging boss. PvP is enabled in Hideout areas, leading to intense battles between factions seeking to claim or defend these valuable assets.

#### Valor

Capturing a Hideout rewards players with Valor, a unique form of currency that can be spent at faction-specific shops. Players can exchange Valor for rare materials, mounts, weapon skins, and more. Accumulating Valor also contributes to a player's rank within their chosen faction.

#### Faction Ranks

As players capture more Hideouts and accumulate Valor, they advance through faction ranks. Each rank grants bonuses that aid players in their ongoing efforts to claim more Hideouts. Higher ranks unlock access to powerful abilities, exclusive gear, and other benefits, making dedicated players even more formidable in Conquest battles.

### Overview

Conquest offers an exciting and dynamic group-PvP experience, pitting factions against one another in the race to control valuable Hideouts. As players capture Hideouts, they earn Conquest Points and climb the ranks of their chosen faction, unlocking unique rewards and bonuses to aid them in future battles. Conquest serves as a key driving force for players to improve their gear, hone their skills, and engage in epic, large-scale PvP combat.

# Hideouts

### Joining Hideouts

Open the Conquest map from your Meta Menu. You will see a list of every Hideout with some information on each one. Click on any Hideout to teleport to the Hideout map!

### PVP

Each Hideout has PVP enabled across Factions. Players can use all skills & abilities against each other to fight for control of the Hideout.&#x20;

### Defender Boss

The first step in capturing a Hideout is to defeat the Hideout Boss. There will be a single mob within the Hideout that must be defeated. It doesn't matter which player from which faction defeats the boss.&#x20;

The boss fights all players regardless of factions, even if the faction currently controls the Hideout.&#x20;

Defenders can be different levels depending on the Hideout. Read more about levels [below](#maximum-gear-level).&#x20;

### Capture Zone

Once the boss has been defeated, the center capture zone activates and players must stand within the zone to gain capture progress.&#x20;

All players of the same faction can work together to capture the zone and push out opponent faction players.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
Even pushing a player out of the capture zone is enough to reset their progress!
{% endhint %}

###

### Protection Cooldown

After a Hideout is captured, it is protected from capture for the next 20 minutes. The zone is still open but the defender will not spawn and the Hideout cannot be captured.

### Maximum Gear Level

To balance PVP combat between players of varying progression through the game, Hideouts have a Maximum Gear Level. This is the highest level armor & weapon players can bring into the Hideout.&#x20;

Each Hideout has a unique Level which corresponds to the difficulty of the [Defender Boss](#defender-boss). The Maximum Gear Level is 10 higher than the Hideout Level.&#x20;

Players stats ONLY increase from gear, so a level 90 ranger can equip a level 40 weapon and fairly compete in a lvl 30 Hideout.&#x20;

However, there is no gear minimum level so players are free to join higher level Hideouts and rely on their impressive skills to survive.&#x20;

> Your Gear Level is listed on your weapon/armor as your class level requirement like so:&#x20;
>
> **Requires Level 30 Assassin**&#x20;

{% hint style="success" %}
**Max Gear Level = Hideout Level + 10**
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Fair PVP Tip:** Fight in Hideouts 10 levels below your Gear Level to ensure that other players are limited to your gear level.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

   3. Walk into the lower level mine and collect Coal. The Clubber goblins will only attack if you hit them first.&#x20;
   4. Compact the raw coal into Compact Coal at the [Compactor](/season-2-mmo/materials-and-loot#compacting). Except for the cooking station in the stove, all other crafting stations are located in the Viking City.&#x20;
   5. Refine the Compact Coal into Coal Ingot at the Mining Station. Most materials follow the same pattern: **Gather Raw > Compact > Refine > Craft.**&#x20;
   6. Now let's craft the Oak Tool handle. Collect oak logs at the Farming Village.&#x20;
   7. Craft into Oak Tool Handle at the woodworking station.
   8. Last we just need 1 Compact Gold Nugget. These are dropped by mobs. Kill goblin clubbers until you have 64 gold nuggets and then craft 1 compact gold nugget (page 2 of the compactor station). Stay at the lower levels of the Goblin Mines. As you venture higher up, the difficulty of the mobs increases.&#x20;
   9. Craft your first weapon for your chosen class at a weaponsmithing station. Each class has their own station. The first weapon for each class has the same requirements so you can choose any of them.&#x20;
   10. We've walked you through the steps for crafting your first weapon. Now you can follow a similar pattern to craft your first armor. Your first complete set will require 5 compact coal.&#x20;

# Gameplay Basics

The gameplay in Crypto Craft is very dynamic with a strong emphasis on player interactions. Our vision is a true Metaverse where multiple gameplay styles all work together to create one ecosystem of players.

For our first world, the gameplay is all about mining diamonds, participating in a vibrant economy and claiming land!

Players start their Genesis adventure in our Spawn City. The city is right in the middle of our map and is a busy hub of player activity. The wealthiest residents are building up their plots now and hundreds of people visit the player-shops every day. This is the also the only location in the entire map where diamonds can be exchange for $EMRD so there will always be activity here.

## Economy

There are 2 basic ways to earn $EMRD.

#### 1. Diamonds

Each Diamond can be exchanged for 500 $EMRD in the Diamond Exchange. This is a shop located in Spawn City. Diamonds are a limited resource and our map is set to 90,000 chunks meaning the supply of $EMRD is backed by the amount of diamonds players mine and safely exchange. CryptoCraft will continue playing even after all diamonds are mined through strategies like ore regeneration, map expansion, and adding new ways of generating $EMRD.

#### 2. Player Economy

The second way to earn is by interacting with other players. This player-to-player economy accounts for a wide variety of transactions between players. Players can sell any item to others through shops or regular trading. So miners can sell their left over iron or gold and then use the $EMRD to purchase food from a player who loves farming.

The player economy also includes selling or renting Land to each other. If you own property in a popular area, you can rent out a small section to allow players to create shops and get access to new customers.

Wealthier residents of Crypto Craft have also been hiring others to complete tasks or help with different services.

The player economy is very dynamic with prices and offers constantly changing. Creativity is rewarded here because players are coming up new ideas that turn out to be profitable.

### What do I do?

You'll start your adventure in Spawn City. There are no dangers here except for hunger. No player vs player combat is allowed and no mobs can spawn.&#x20;

From here, you can leave the city and find your way to the wilderness. The 3 main ways to leave are by taking the big bridge to the east, the back gate of the castle in the north, or just swim away.&#x20;

As you leave the spawn area, you'll find other peoples Land claims. When you enter the claims, you'll see a popup on your screen with the Land name and owner. People can adjust their own permissions on their Land so some allow PVP and some don't.

Once you see "Wilderness" then you're on unclaimed territory. In all Wilderness areas you can build or destroy anything, monsters will spawn, and any player can attack you.&#x20;

You start with a 3 day "newbie" PVP shield. For 3 days, no player can kill you, but mobs and hunger are still a threat. As a newbie, you will have a Campfire in your inventory which grants you a free 24 hour Land claim.&#x20;

Find a wilderness plot and place down your Camp to start your free 24 hour claim. You now temporarily own your first land!&#x20;

{% hint style="danger" %}
If you die before placing down your Camp, you will not be given another one. \
Be careful with fall damage, hunger, or mobs.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

On your Camp, you can now safely store items in chests, set up furnaces, and mine in peace. \
This ONLY applies to your 16x16 chunk. If you place chests and furnaces in Wilderness, other players can take items from them.

Now you can earn money by exchanging diamonds or from the player economy. Players are constantly buying items or paying for services. Ask in chat or look around the shops to see who's buying items like coal, iron, wood, food, etc.

## Beginners Overview

1. Leave Spawn City
2. Place down your camp&#x20;
3. Mine ores to make Iron tools
4. Mine until you find diamonds
5. Return diamonds to Spawn City Diamond Exchange
6. Also sell any other ores to players or shops to earn extra $EMRD
7. Permanently claim your first land when you have 7400 $EMRD

# Join The Server

**Step 1 - Holding a Crypto Craft Genesis NFT** \
To start, you have to go to our OpenSea page to get a NFT if you don't have one already. \
This is our official link: <https://opensea.io/collection/cryptocraft-genesis>\
NFTs #1-1001 are VIP status and get you priority access into the server from the lobby.

**Step 2 - Owning the correct Minecraft game** \
You have to buy/own Minecraft Java.\
You can do that here: <https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition>&#x20;

**Step 3 - Joining the server** \
1\) Set your Minecraft to 1.18.2 <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB4aO5pOFfc> \
2\) Click on "multiplayer" and add server.\
3\) Type any name you want in the server name slot. You can just name it Crypto Craft.\
4\) Type *play.cryptocraftgame.com* for the server address.\
5\) Click “Done”; select our server on the list; click “Join Server”.

**Step 4 - Accessing Spawn City** \
1\) You are now in the NFT Museum. Press "T" and type in /token to generate your assigned link.\
2\) Press "T" again, click and open the link.\
3\) Connect the wallet that holds your NFT. This verification process doesn’t require any gas. You only sign a transaction to prove ownership of your wallet.\
4\) Check verification status by sending a message in-game. \[V] or \[VIP] will appear beside your name.\
5\) Enter the Water Portal to join the queue to be teleported to Spawn City.

**Step 5 - Collabland**\
Verify in Discord channel #collabland-join to get access to Holder Chat channels and icons next to your Discord name.

![The gameplay world can be entered by walking into the water portal on the right.](/files/b0h3aDNjqJMzqae1xsU7)

### Frequent Problems & Solutions

1. **I validated my NFT but don’t see the \[V] role.**\
   If you just got the NFT, it’s possible our API hasn’t picked up the transaction yet. Please wait 1-2 minutes and repeat the process again.
2. **I try to join the Minecraft server but see an error about an “outdated client” or “server version.”**\
   You did not properly switch your game version to 1.18.2. Follow step 3 above.
3. **I am verified and confirmed I have the \[V] in chat, but the water portal doesn’t take me to the gameplay world.**\
   There might be a queue of players waiting to join the world. Check the text at the bottom of your screen to see the queue and your position. The queue builds up during peak times and whenever the gameplay servers are restarting.
4. **I verified with a VIP token (tokenID from #1-1001) but don’t see the \[VIP] tag.**\
   Make sure the VIP token is the only Crypto Craft NFT in your wallet. Repeat the verification process. Future website update will allow you to manage your connections across multiple tokens.

# Server Rules

Violations of server rules can result in a permanent ban from the server.

### Basic Rules

1. No harassment of other players.
2. No hacking, glitching, or exploits of any kind.
3. No ruining server performance on purpose by purposefully creating lag machines.
4. No spamming.
5. No griefing (read [War Book](/genesis-land/gameplay/nations/war-book)).
6. No sexually explicit content.
7. Read all rules before playing. Read war book before declaring a war.
8. Admins hold ultimate power in giving out punishments and balancing the game to create a fun experience for all.

### All Rules

#### 1. No hacking, glitching, or exploits.

No tolerance. Up to permanent ban.

If you think you’ve discovered an exploit and decide to abuse instead of reporting it to an Admin, we will eventually discover it and can then track who else used this. Every interaction with any item across the whole world is tracked and logged forever.

If you aren’t sure but don’t want to give away a possible secret strategy, get in touch with Ruskie on Discord to discuss your concern in private.

#### 2. No griefing or trolling.

Griefing is defined as: “Maliciously ruining other players experiences for the sole purpose of ruining their experience.”

Examples:

1. Killing players to gain their loot. *Not griefing.*&#x20;
2. Killing a player over and over just for the sake of killing that player. **GRIEFING.**
3. Killing a player during a time when PVP is disabled by the server. **GRIEFING.**

The difference is that there is no benefit to the player for #2 except causing harm to somebody.

**This rule also covers building obscene structures or written text using blocks.** Google “obscene” if you’re not sure what is covered under this definition.

#### 3. PVP is allowed.

If PVP is turned on, then it’s allowed. There are game phases that disable this or special mechanics to protect early players or cities that have server protection. Excluding these special scenarios, PVP is on by default.

#### 4. Scamming.

This is a complicated one. If you’re abusing game mechanics or a certain way that plugins work, this is NOT allowed. Tricking players to type commands that cause issues is NOT allowed. Advertising selling X item in a shop, but actually selling Z is not allowed.&#x20;

Casinos are allowed. Game rules + odds must be clearly visible.\
\
Reports of scamming will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Easiest way to avoid punishment is **don’t scam people.**

#### 5. Lying about Land ownership is NOT allowed.

You cannot lie about owning a piece of Land and take advantage of players who cannot check. It’s not assumed that all players know the owners and renters of all Lands at all times. You cannot lie about this in any scenario both in-game or in Discord.

#### 6. No offensive skins or land names.

Will be handled on a case by case basis. Just change your skin or land name if asked.

#### 7. No teleport trapping.

Any method of blocking a user from accessing the chat box to teleport out of your land is not allowed.

Trapping a person after they teleport into the Spawn, Land, Nether or End is not allowed. You cannot maliciously place blocks in a way to prevent players from spawning, leaving, or instantly dying when they spawn.

Obstructing portals in the End or Nether is not allowed.

#### 8. Player camping.

When you are in PVP combat, if a player leaves as soon as their PVP timer expires, you are allowed to camp their body to catch them when they return. You are **not** allowed to build or remove any blocks to trap them in when they spawn in.

#### 9. Redstone machines & automatic farms.

Players are **not** allowed to use any automatic farming machines. You are allowed to build machines that require player input to complete the farm. For example, a button that causes water to flow and harvest all your crops. You **must** replant all your crops manually. There can not be any automatic cycle. Manual player input has to be part of the process somewhere.

**Killing mobs cannot be automated.**

Animal farms as allowed as long as they are not automatically killing the animals and do not cause server lag. Farms that push mobs into a bunch and the player then attacks from a safe distance are allowed. If the mobs are killed **automatically** (no player input), the farm is **NOT allowed.**&#x20;

Air ships are allowed but must be destroyed after use to stop them from running forever.

#### 10. Hacks, mods, and exploits.

No hacks of any kind are allowed. **ANY** hacked client that gives you an advantage over other players is not allowed. There is a 0 tolerance policy on this. This includes: Auto Clickers, Auto Fishing, Fly Hacks, PvP Hacks, Speed Hacks, Xray etc.

The clients that are allowed include:

* **FPS mods such as OptiFine**. These are made to optimize your game to give you better performance.
* **Quality of life mods**. Small improvements that are just helpful. This includes minimap mods.
* **Beauty mods**. This includes: Shaders, Illuminations, and Fullbright.

**11. No alt accounts.**

An "alt" account is defined as one person playing on a second Minecraft account. This is not allowed in any capacity. Even with multiple NFT's activating multiple Minecraft accounts, one player cannot play with more than 1 Minecraft account. This will result in immediate banning of all accounts belonging to the person.

### <mark style="color:red;">**Punishments for violating rules:**</mark>

1st Offense - 3 Day Ban

2nd Offense - 1 Week Ban

3rd Offense - 2 Week Ban or Permanent Ban

Admins hold ultimate power in giving out punishments and balancing the game to create a fun experience for all.

# Teleportation

### Teleportation is expensive&#x20;

If you're a Minecraft veteran, you'll know most servers play as a dystopian teleportation future. Players can teleport to any other player on a whim. It's common to set a spawn at your house, go mining, and not even bother adventuring back because you can just lazily teleport. The magic of exploration and the value of owning a cool piece of property is greatly diminished when anybody can move tens of thousands of blocks in any direction in less than a second.&#x20;

**Property value is essentially non-existent in a world of free and limitless teleportation.**&#x20;

Teleportation exists within Crypto Craft but this amazing futuristic technology also has a price. Players can teleport to owned Land and their Nations capital but will pay a fee of $EMRD to do so. This price is affordable enough to occasionally enjoy as a lazy treat but expensive enough to encourage exploration by foot, by horse, or by train.&#x20;

Within Crypto Craft, friends actually build near each other. Communities form around central locations. Land near city centers, train stations, or Nation capitals are worth more than Land on the outskirts of society. Land also increases in value as the area is developed and grows over time.&#x20;

# Earning $EMERALD

### Basically... Diamonds

In version 1.0, the only way to generate new $EMRD tokens is to trade in-game diamonds to the server shop. Players are incentivized to claim as much land as they can to ensure only they can mine the diamonds there. \
\
**Price: 1 Diamond = 500 $EMRD**

Any player can use the in-game shops to trade diamonds for $EMRD. Since diamonds are a limited resource and our server map has a finite amount of land, our $EMRD token is backed by the amount of diamonds contained within the land. This will change in future updates as our economy evolves.

$EMRD can be traded as a regular ERC-20 token. This means it can be exchanged for any other token using any liquidity pool or protocol of your choice.&#x20;

Crypto Craft officially only trades in-game diamond for $EMRD tokens.

### Player Shops

Any player can create a shop on land they own and sell any in-game item for any amount of $EMRD. This creates a dynamic market where $EMRD will have standard prices for each item but these prices will fluctuate based on supply and demand.&#x20;

Shops have 2 types: \
\- Buy Shops\
\- Sell Shops

"Buy Shops" allow the shop owner to place items in a chest and set a $EMRD price that customers have to pay per item.&#x20;

"Sell Shops" allow the shop owner to choose an item they'd like to buy and their price. Customers can then bring items to this shop and sell their items.&#x20;

### Future Updates

Several updates are planned that introduce new ways of earning $EMRD for both Nations and individual players. Please read through the [Phase 1 ](broken://pages/bJOSjEPNoX28jG5yMtfs)and [Phase 2](broken://pages/yPeEdWlCKnmPOe1OZhb1) sections for more info.&#x20;

The core features of each update are listed and explained but a couple things will still be a surprise upon launch.&#x20;

# Real Estate

### Owning is better than renting.&#x20;

Real estate is a massive part of the Crypto Craft ecosystem. Lots of in-game mechanics directly and indirectly support the valuations of Land.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
**Hint:** 1 Land is 1 chunk of the Minecraft World. A chunk is a 16x16 block section of the world that extends from bedrock at the bottom to the sky limit at the top.  The chunk positions are already set within the world. You can press f3 + g while in any Minecraft world to see an overlay of all the chunks around you.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

Within Crypto Craft, friends actually build near each other. Communities form around central locations. Land near city centers, train stations, or Nation capitals are worth more than Land on the outskirts of society. Land also increases in value as the area is developed and grows over time.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
**Hint:** Buying Land in Crypto Craft is a strategic decision that benefits those who buy the right Land or put in the work to develop their Land and their communities. Finding areas of the map that are growing quickly is a great way to discover Land that will increase in value in the future.
{% endhint %}

### The Spawn City

The Spawn City is a thriving landscape of pre-built houses available for purchase. The city is right in the middle of the map and all new players start their adventures here. Being such a high foot-traffic area makes the property very valuable here.&#x20;

It's the perfect place to open a shop, rent out rooms to new players, meet new friends, host events, show off your builds, and much much more. Initial purchasers of this Land will be VERY happy as they'll be receiving a premium plot of Land for a very low price.&#x20;

This is to reward our earliest supporters who join on day 1 and race to claim their own section of Spawn City.&#x20;

Even after all the Land is bought, the city will have lots of apartment rentals, houses for sale, and the Grand Central Train Station.&#x20;

### Trains are big and loud

Trains will be introduced in update 1.1 "Trains R Us." This update is a great example of a mechanic that affects the dynamic valuations of Land. Since traveling by foot across hundreds of chunks is not ideal, Trains will allow players to build tracks on their Land and charge a small $EMRD fee to passengers.&#x20;

**We want to reward players who are able to strategically purchase Land and develop it into a valuable asset.**&#x20;

### **A renters market**

New players just joining the server will start with 0 $EMRD and not be able to afford to claim any Land. After some mining in the wilderness, they'll want a place to store their belongings while they save up enough to claim their own Land.&#x20;

Land owners have the option of setting up sections of their Land for rent to other players. A single Land can be broken up into many sections so multi-story apartments are possible.&#x20;

Even players who own Land have a variety of reasons for renting the Land of somebody else.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
**Hint:** Buying Land and building something useful on it is a great way to attract renters or buyers. Somebody might not want to build their own farm but will happily rent yours for a couple days and make runs to the shops to sell the food.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

# Wilderness

### The Wilderness is a dangerous place with only 1 rule: **DO NOT CHEAT.**

**Other than cheating, anything and everything is allowed.**&#x20;

The wilderness includes ANY land that isn't claimed by another player. If land was claimed at one point and then unclaimed, it will automatically become part of the wilderness.

There are no limitations on breaking blocks, placing blocks, opening doors, taking items from chests, and attacking players. There is no way to protect property in the wilderness.&#x20;

Anything built in the wilderness can be destroyed by anybody else. Anybody can be attacked at any time, unless PVP combat is disabled by the server.

# Combat

**Crypto Craft supports both Player Vs Player (PVP) combat and peaceful gameplay.**&#x20;

It is up to each player to decide how much PVP they want in their gameplay. PVP settings can be toggled on or off in claimed land.

We're interested in building a dynamic world. An entire Metaverse where some areas are peaceful, others are constantly at war, and sometimes the lines may blur in between.&#x20;

# Combat vs Players

### **PVP is always enabled in all wilderness areas.**&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
**Hint:** The wilderness is any area that is currently not claimed by another player.
{% endhint %}

While traveling through the wilderness, players can choose to be peaceful or turn to combat at any time. There are no limitations to the combat that occurs in the wilderness.&#x20;

When a player dies, their entire inventory drops to the ground which can be claimed by another player. There are incentives to attack but since we're also building a strong community, attacking everybody could leave you without allies when you're in need of assistance.&#x20;

### Combat on Owned Land

Each Land owner can toggle whether PVP combat is allowed on their property. This creates a dynamic range of PVP options across the world.&#x20;

### Players not interested in PVP

Players who hate the idea of dying and losing their things have the option of adjusting their gameplay strategy to avoid combat. You can avoid the wilderness and only stick to land where PVP is disabled.&#x20;

Joining or creating peaceful nations can offer protection against PVP by claiming/recruiting wide expanses of claimed land where PVP is disabled.&#x20;

#### Overall, we're building a world where both PVP and non-PVP players can enjoy Minecraft.

# Combat vs Mobs

Mobs spawn naturally in all wilderness areas. Each land owner also has the option of toggling whether mobs can spawn on their property. There is no way to control which mobs spawn or how often. The owner can simply turn spawns either "on" or "off."\
\
Mobs grant experience when killed. This can be used to enchant weapons and armors. Players lose all XP when killed. It is dropped on the ground like an item and can be picked up by any player.&#x20;

# Angel Chest

The Angel Chest is a feature that saves your inventory when you die and gives you a second chance to retrieve your lost items.&#x20;

### How to spawn a chest

One **Circle of Life** item is required to spawn one Angel Chest. This item must be in any inventory slot when you die. The Circle of Life can be purchased at Spawn City.

If you die while holding at least 1 **Circle of Life,** it will be consumed to create an Angel Chest at your death location.&#x20;

The chest will initially look like an Ender chest with some information about your death hovering on top.&#x20;

### What does the Angel Chest hold?

This chest holds all of your items, armor, and 50% of your Minecraft XP.&#x20;

### Chests last for 15 minutes&#x20;

The Angel Chest is protected and only you can open it for 10 minutes. During this time, the chest will look like an ender chest.&#x20;

After 10 minutes, the chest will convert into a normal chest and any person can now claim your items & experience.&#x20;

**15 minutes after your death, the chest will disappear and ALL items will be destroyed.**&#x20;

### **Magic Rope**

The magic rope is a one-time use item that gives you two magical options:

1. **Teleport to your Angel Chest.**&#x20;
2. **Fetch your chest to your current location**

Each of these actions will consume 1 magic rope item.&#x20;

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you chose to teleport to your chest, your killer might still be waiting nearby&#x20;
{% endhint %}

### Where to get these items?

Both the *Circle of Life* and *Magic Rope* can be purchased in the Server Shop in Spawn City.&#x20;

This is inside the white building next door to the Diamond Shop.&#x20;

Coordinates: X: -106 Y: 65 Z: 1065

# Land Ownership

The CryptoCraft map is 300x300 chunks. Each of the 90,000 chunks (excluding Spawn City) is able to be claimed and used by players.&#x20;

### Definitions

**Chunk** = A procedurally generated 16 x 16 segment of the world that extends all the way down to the bedrock up to a height of 320 blocks.

**Land** = One of more chunks owned by a player. Owners can manage the permissions on their Land like giving their friends permission to build. Land can be sold or rented.&#x20;

**Area** = A section of a Land defined by the owner. Land owners can create up to 30 areas per Land. Each area can have separate permissions. Each area can be rented out separately. <br>

### Land Actions

1. **Claim**
2. **Buy & Sell**
3. **Rent**

# Claiming Land

One core concept of our Land management is the difference between Lands and Chunks.&#x20;

A Chunk is a 16x16 block area defined by Minecraft. This area extends infinitely up and down and every single Minecraft world is thousands of these chunks side by side.&#x20;

A Land is a collection of Chunks, Areas, and Permissions. A Land can have 1 owner and up to 10 custom roles such as Admin, Member, Visitor. Owners can give their friends different roles for their Land or Areas with custom permissions.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
**Chunks cost 7400 $EMRD each to claim. Adjacent chunks are bundled into 1 Land.**

**Chunks that are not adjacent become a separate Land. A player can have up to 5 Lands, each can consist of up to 75 chunks.**
{% endhint %}

A Land can also contain 0 chunks. For example if a player creates a new Land, they automatically pay 7400 $EMRD for the first chunk. If they stop paying upkeep, their chunk will be unclaimed but the Land still exists.

### Claim New Land (Create)

Land that doesn't belong to any player is part of the "Wilderness." This Land has no permissions, no rules, and (other than hacks/exploits) no limitations of any kind. PVP is enabled. Mobs will spawn. Blocks can be built and destroyed by any player.&#x20;

**A player can claim any unclaimed wilderness chunk for 7,400 $EMRD.**&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
**✍️ Create Land Claim Command:** \
*/land create*\
\
This will attempt to claim the chunk the player is currently standing in. If successful, the player will see a green outline of their newly claimed land. If the land is already claimed by somebody else, the player will see a red outline of the claimed land. <br>
{% endhint %}

### Expanding Owned Land (Claim)

Once a player owns Land, they can easily expand their ownership to include the neighboring chunks. Expanding Land works the same way as Claiming Land. If the target chunk is wilderness, the player may stand in the chunk and use the */*&#x63;laim command. If the target chunk is owned by another player and listed for sale with a Purchase sign, the player may interact with the Purchase Sign to buy the land.&#x20;

Chunks that are claimed will automatically add to the existing Land.&#x20;

The price to expand Land is the same as Claiming or Buying the first Land.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
**✍️ Expand Land to more chunks commands:**\
*/land edit \<land name>*

*/claim*\
\
Run these commands one by one. First select the land you want to edit. Then you can use /claim over and over to add more chunks.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Hint:** One Land will contain one or more Chunks. One player may only have 3 separate Lands but each Land may contain 75 connected chunks. \
\
The 3 separate Land requirement **does** include Spawn City properties. This limit is included specifically to prevent one player from purchasing every single property in Spawn City.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

# Upkeep & Taxes

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Upkeep is charged to the entire server every Saturday at 2pm PST.**
{% endhint %}

Every 7 days players have to pay upkeep for every single **chunk** they own. Remember, players can own up to 5 Lands and each Land can be expanded to a maximum of 75 chunks.&#x20;

## What is the point of Upkeep?

There are multiple benefits to collecting upkeep from every chunk.&#x20;

1. **This is a very consistent $EMRD burn.** \
   There are only 90,000 chunks of Land in our entire world and we know how many are claimed at all times. As more chunks are claimed, the amount of $EMRD burned each week increases linearly.&#x20;
2. **Keeps Land owned only by active players.** \
   Players don't have to play every week but if a player doesn't own enough $EMRD to maintain the chunks, the chunk is unclaimed and available to be claimed by active players. Chunks are unclaimed newest to oldest.

## Paying Upkeep&#x20;

Every Land that doesn't belong to a Nation pays an upkeep of 250 $EMRD per chunk per week.&#x20;

So a Land with 3 chunks will pay 750 $EMRD every week.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Upkeep payments are taken from your personal $EMRD balance.**\
**You can check this balance with /balance.**
{% endhint %}

You can see how much you'll owe in upkeep in 2 ways:

1. **The /lands menu.**\
   Click on your Land icon and then hover over the top right icon. You'll see some info like the coordinates and upkeep charges.\
   \
   This is a good way to check upkeep for one specific land. <br>
2. **The /lands upkeep command.**\
   This command shows the total upkeep charges across all your Lands.

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Commands:**

*/lands menu*

*/lands upkeep*
{% endhint %}

## Nations & Taxes

Land belonging to a Nation pays 0 in upkeep to the server. Instead, the Nation pays all the upkeep on behalf of all Lands that join.&#x20;

**Nations pay a cheaper 125 $EMRD per chunk per week.**&#x20;

Since the Nations cover the upkeep for all their Land, they're allowed to charge a tax.&#x20;

This tax amount is decided by the Owner and can be any $EMRD amount.

Nations can adjust their tax rate in the /Nation menu.

{% hint style="danger" %}
When joining a Nation, make sure to check how much they're charging for tax.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Check Tax Command:**\
*/lands taxes*
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Nation set tax command:**\
/Nation\
Then select 'taxes' (the gold bar icon).
{% endhint %}

## Player non-payment

The server will attempt to pay the upkeep for all of your Lands. If you don't have enough $EMRD to cover the upkeep, chunks will be unclaimed.&#x20;

These unclaimed chunks simply become wilderness chunks. They lose all protections and can be claimed by anybody for 7400 $EMRD.

Your entire Land will not be deleted, only chunks will be unclaimed.&#x20;

You will keep every single chunk that you can afford.&#x20;

*For example, if you have 6 chunks and owe 1500 but only have 1300 then you will keep 5 chunks but lose 1.*&#x20;

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Your most recently claimed chunks will be unclaimed first.** \
This protects your first (and probably more important) claims.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

## Nation non-payment

If a Nation cannot pay the upkeep for ALL of their Lands then the Nation is declared bankrupt and disbanded.

This means that all Lands who did belong to the Nation will now owe the full 250 $EMRD upkeep fee as if they were not part of a nation.

# Buying Land

Any Land owned by a player can be sold to any other player through the use of "Purchase Signs."

A **Purchase Sign** is a special sign that will allow players to buy Land by right-clicking on the sign. This action is irreversible and will give full ownership of the Land to the new owner in exchange for $EMRD.&#x20;

The owner of Land can create a Purchase Sign at any time for any price. The sign can also be destroyed by the owner to cancel the purchase option.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
**Purchase Sign:** All signs will have the same format. An example of the format can be seen below. Right click to use this sign and purchase the Land.\
\
&#x20;![](/files/ocVJI8GGIt0v4G4XHuGo)
{% endhint %}

# Selling Land

To sell your Land simply place a sign in your Land and enter the following information on each line. \
\
Line 1 = Type the word "land" This is a keyword that gives the sign magical selling powers. \
Line 2 = The word "sell".\
Line 3 = The price in $EMRD. Just type the numbers like "32500" and nothing else.\
\
Click "Done" to create the sign.\
\
If done correctly, your sign will transform into a "Purchase Sign" with some colored text. Any player can now right-click on your sign to complete the purchase.&#x20;

To cancel your listing, simply break the sign.&#x20;

{% hint style="danger" %}
This sells your **LAND** including all of the chunks belonging to that Land.\
To sell a chunk belonging to your land, you may have to /lands unclaim a chunk and /lands create \<land name> for $7400 EMRD to create a second sellable Land.
{% endhint %}

![Creating a Purchase Sign that sells the current Land for 32,500 $EMRD. Click "Done" to create the sign.](/files/mRRr2oJBfz3pvArz3W8b)

![Completed Purchase Sign. If you see the colored text, your sign creation worked.](/files/kIH070ht9ME2xqzk4v7e)

# Creating Areas

To create an area, type the following command in chat:

/lands selection

You will now have a golden hoe tool in your hand and see the selection text on your screen. You'll be selecting a cuboid (think of a 3D rectangle) by choosing two points at two corners of the cuboid.&#x20;

![](/files/koNWkUcfSwGCDf3HBjwt)

This is a **3D cube** so you must consider height. If you select 2 points on the same vertical axis (both points on the floor) then your area will only include the floor. You generally want to think of a 'bottom' point and a 'top' point.&#x20;

![The selection screen you see after typing /land selection](/files/wUbcoJ0x5di3iAsW8EAM)

Left click with the tool to select the **First** point. Right click to select the **Second** point.&#x20;

You will see a visualization of your selected points with floating particles.&#x20;

Once you're happy with the selection, type the following command:&#x20;

/assign {NAME OF YOUR AREA}

Example: */assign SandCastle*

**You've now created an area named SandCastle!**

If you want to resize your area or select a whole new area just repeat the process. If you **assign** with the same name as an existing area, you will replace the old selection with the new one. If you use a new name, you will create a new area.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
**This process is MUCH easier to follow in-game.**  If you're confused by the text, play around with the selection tool in-game. Once you do it once, you'll be able to create new areas in seconds.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

# Renting Land

### Renting Land

Land Areas can be rented out to other players.&#x20;

An Area is a section defined by the Land owner. Areas have separate permissions from the rest of the Land. One Land can contain 30 Areas.&#x20;

A rental grants temporary permission of the Area to the renter.&#x20;

Each rental has:&#x20;

1. Price
2. Length
3. Maximum Length&#x20;
4. Area

The owner can decide to rent out their Area on any metric of time. For example: 1 hour, 1 day, 3 days, 2 weeks, etc.&#x20;

The price is the price a renter pays per unit of length. For example: A price of 100 $EMRD with a length of 3 days means the renter will pay 100 $EMRD every 3 days.&#x20;

The maximum length is the maximum time a renter can rent at once. For example: a length of 7 days with a max of 30 days means the renter can pay for 7 days and then extend the rental up to 30 days at once. This feature is to allow Land owners to eventually stop renting if they choose to do so while giving the renter a fair amount of time to find new Land and "move out."

{% hint style="info" %}
**Rental Sign**: Works similarly to a Purchase Sign. Right click the sign to extend your rental period up to the max.&#x20;

![](/files/XM2eoGMYtNufHVld3FNC)

**M1** is the name of the Area for rent. \
**$1,000.00** is the price of the rental for **7** **days.** \
The max length is **14 days.**
{% endhint %}

When a player right-clicks a Rental Sign, they will be given permissions for the Area up to the rental length. This player can right-click multiple times to extend their rental up to the maximum length. A player can extend their rental at any time during their rent.&#x20;

### Creating a Rental&#x20;

Creating a rental sign is very similar to creating a Purchase Sign. The sign just needs a little bit more information.

First, create an area that you want to rent. Then place a sign with the following information:

Line 1 = Type the word "land" This is a keyword that gives the sign magical selling powers. \
Line 2 = The word "rent" \
Line 3 = {length} {maximum length}. The space between the two numbers is important. For example, "3 12" would mean a rental period of 3 days with a maximum rental of 12 days. \
Line 4 = The price in $EMRD. Just type the numbers like "1200" and nothing else.

{% hint style="info" %}
Read the "Renting Land" section above to understand what **length** and **maximum length** means
{% endhint %}

![Creating a rental sign. Renter pays 1200 $EMRD every 3 days and can extend the rental up to 12 days at a time.](/files/Y4aT6xC69R1EM51WpCc8)

# Selling Areas

{% hint style="warning" %}
There are **HUGE** differences between selling **Land** and selling an **Area**!!!!
{% endhint %}

Selling Land transfers full ownership of ALL chunks within that Land. \
Selling an Area makes the buyer a permanent "tenant" of the area. \
\
When selling an area, the buyer becomes the Owner of the area and a Member of the Land. \
They do **not** own the Land or the chunk.&#x20;

Once the Area is sold, the Land owner can no longer unclaim the chunk. The owner also cannot kick the tenant out.&#x20;

Think of this like a permanent rental. The renter has rights but they will never expires because they "bought" the area instead of "renting."

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Renter can give up their claim to the Area command**

*Stand in the area and then type:*

*/land rent cancel*

This removes the person from the area. The owner is back to full control.
{% endhint %}

# Land Menu

Type /land to see the **Land Menu.**&#x20;

This menu allows you to mange all the Land you own, Land you rent, or Land where you have been **Trusted.**

Most actions can be done with a **command** or with the **Land Menu**.&#x20;

The menu allows you to click around to complete actions so it's a great way for beginners to see all of the available options. The commands are generally faster to type if you already know exactly what you're trying to do.&#x20;

### How to use commands

Since you can own multiple Land, before you type a command, you must tell the server which Land you're trying to edit.&#x20;

You can do this with the following command:

/land edit {land name}\
*Example: /land edit DreamHouse*<br>

Now every command you type will reference the selected Land.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you want to edit the Land you're physically standing in, just type /land edit&#x20;
{% endhint %}

### **How to add friends to your Land**

You can **Trust** your friends and give them permission to build on your Land.&#x20;

**Command**\
Type /trust {player name}\
\&#xNAN;*Example: /trust Ruskie*

**Land Menu**\
Type /land\
Choose a Land block\
Click "Trusted Players"\
Click the green "Trust Player"\
Enter the player name in chat and send the message.<br>

# Shops

### **Shop Basics**

There are two kinds of shops: **Buy** and **Sell.** These terms are from the point of view of the shop owner.&#x20;

A **Buy** shop is when the shop owner is willing to pay $EMRD for the listed item. \
A **Sell** shop works like a regular shop where the owner is selling an item and will receive $EMRD.&#x20;

Any player can create a shop in any area as long as they can place down a chest.&#x20;

This means you **can create shops in the wilderness, on land you rent, land you own, or land you're trusted.**&#x20;

Any player can buy or sell to any shop as long as they are able to reach the chest and right click on it.&#x20;

### **How to create a shop**

1. Place down a chest.&#x20;
2. Hold the item you'd like to sell/buy in the shop.
3. Left click on the chest.
4. Enter a number in chat for your price.

This creates a shop **selling** the item you were holding. You may also use the command below instead but it's generally easier to follow steps 1-4.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
*✍️* **Create shop command (while looking at the chest):**\
/qs create \<price>\
\
*Example: /qs create 1200*
{% endhint %}

This creates a special **Chest Shop** that will sell the item you were holding. It will say "Out of Stock" because the chest is empty!\
\
If you're creating a **Sell** shop, you can open the chest and place the items you'd like to sell inside. You'll see the numbers update on the sign to match the number of items within the chest.&#x20;

If you're creating a **Buy** shop, right click on the sign. This will open up a menu in your chat. This menu is only visible to you. Next to "Selling" you will see a button: **\[Change]**

Click the **\[Change]** button to toggle the shop mode from "Selling" to "Buying." You can also adjust the price this way.&#x20;

# Limits

To help with server performance there are certain limits on certain tasks. If you're having issues with mobs despawning or certain redstone not working, check this list.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
Read "Animal Exceptions" before panicking.
{% endhint %}

### Wolves

Limit of 3 per person. No chunk limit.&#x20;

### Animals

*These limits are per chunk. All animals are counted together towards the 20 limit.*&#x20;

*For example, 10 sheep + 10 cows = 20 animals.*&#x20;

Limit: 20

Includes: Pig, Cow, Horse, Rabbit, Sheep, Chicken, Villager.

### Monsters

*These limits are per chunk.*

Limit: 20

Includes: Zombie, Skeleton, Slime, Creeper, Squid.

### Redstone/Hoppers

*These limits are per chunk.*

Hopper: 30

Piston: 18

Sticky Piston: 18

Observer: 10

### Animal Exceptions

These animals are NOT counted towards the limits. Any abuse of this will count as an exploit and not allowed by the rules.&#x20;

* Tamed Animals
* Named Animals
* Animals with saddle

# Nations

# Basics

A nation is a group of players who organize together to work on achieving a common goal. Nations have a different Land upkeep structure and also have the ability to go to [War](https://www.notion.so/War-bb0fa3acfc4747af819ccd8a135b2ebb).

### Starting A Nation

Requirements:

* Own Land
* Pay 64k $EMRD

Any player who **owns land** can start a nation by paying a fee of 64,000 $EMRD. The player must own at least 1 land to start a nation. Whichever land the player is currently standing in will become the "Nation Capital". The capital can be changed at any time.

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Create Nation Command:**\
&#x20;*/nation create \<name>*\
\
**Cost: 64k $EMRD**
{% endhint %}

### Joining A Nation

Nations do not invite players, they invite Lands to join. So one player can own 2 land to themselves and 1 land that’s part of a Nation.

Nations start by sending an invitation to a Land and the Land owner can either accept or deny the invitation. The Land owner is still the only “owner” of that Land, but also receive a role within the Nation. This role is managed by the Nation owner and controls some aspects of the Land.

**The Nation cannot sell or rent any land belonging to another player.**

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Nation Invite Command:**\
&#x20;*/nation trust \<land name>*
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Landowner can accept the invitation:** \
\&#xNAN;*/nation accept*
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Landowner can decline the invitation:**\
&#x20;*/nation decline*
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Landowner can leave a nation:**\
&#x20;*/nation leave*
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Nation can kick a land out:** \
\&#xNAN;*/nation untrust \<land name>*
{% endhint %}

### Upkeep

Usually, each individual player pays an upkeep fee of 250 $EMRD per week per chunk to the server. Once a player joins a nation, they no longer pay ANY upkeep for their Land that is part of the Nation. Instead, the Nation will be charged an upkeep of 125 $EMRD per week for each chunk they control.

Nations pay a reduced upkeep. This is to encourage more players to organize together under nations and share the benefits. This is also because Nations are always facing the possibility of war. The upkeep discount helps account for the extra risk all Nation lands face.

#### **Upkeep is charged every Saturday at 2pm PST.**

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Nations MUST have enough balance in their bank to pay their upkeep or the nation will be BANKRUPT and deleted. All Land is still owned by the members.**
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Deposit to Nation's Capital:** \
\&#xNAN;*/land deposit \<capital name> \<amount>*
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
&#x20;✍️ **Withdraw from Nation's Capital:**\
&#x20;*/land withdraw \<capital name> \<amount>*
{% endhint %}

### Checking Nation Upkeep

1. Open your Land menu with /land
2. Hover over the orange square in the top right.

### Tax

Since the nation is paying the upkeep for all lands belonging to all members, they have the option of charging a tax. The tax amount is set by the nation owner but all taxes are collected every 7 days. The tax is charged equally for all chunks within the nation and are paid directly into the nation bank.

Taxes are a great way for nations to raise money to offer benefits to members. Taxes are a balancing act for nations since they want to attract the best players while also having the money to fund great projects.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Upkeep is NOT optional. All nations will be charged 125 $EMRD per chunk every 7 days.**

**Taxes ARE optional.** If a nation doesn't charge a tax, they will still owe the upkeep for ALL LANDS within the nation.
{% endhint %}

### Capital

The Nation Capital is the hub of your Nation. This should be in a well-protected area towards the center of your land claims.

The chunk where the owner was standing when the nation was created starts out as the capital.

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Change nation capital:**\
&#x20;*/nation setcapital*\
\
Wherever you’re standing becomes the new capitol.
{% endhint %}

### Spawn

Players can use the */nation* menu to spawn to their Nation spawn. This costs 2k $EMRD just like Land teleportations.

{% hint style="info" %}
✍️ **Change nation spawn:** \
\&#xNAN;*/nation setspawn*\
\
Wherever you’re standing becomes the new spawn.
{% endhint %}

# War Book

*This war book includes all the mechanics and rules for war. Read every single line before declaring a war or if you’ve been invited to a war.*

> A war creates a scenario between 2 or more Nations where certain Land protections are lifted and Nations are granted points for kills and capture points.

## Declaring a war

Any player within a Nation with the "Manage War" permission can declare a war on another Land belonging to a Nation.

**A Nation must have at least 64,000 $EMRD** **in their bank to declare a war.**

### War Phases

1. Preparation
2. War
3. Ending<br>

### 1. Preparation Phase

When a war a declared, the first phase of "Preparation" begins. This is a countdown timer of 24 hours giving both Nations time to collect resources, plan battle strategies, and move into position.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**No pre-war attacks/skirmishes are allowed from either side during this 24 hour preparation.**
{% endhint %}

### 2. War Phase

During the war, PVP against each other is enabled for both Nations across the entire map. The only protection is Spawn City. **Any Land belonging to either Nation will allow PVP between the members of both Nations.**

Points are assigned for player kills and Land captures.

**This phase overrides some Land permissions for every chunk the Nations own. Enemy Nation members are allowed to:**

* Enter any Land
* PVP against any enemy member
* Pick up items
* Place Ladders, Vines, & Scaffolding
* Break Ladders, Vines, & Scaffolding
* Open wooden doors

These rules allow enemies to invade into normally protected Land areas. Only wooden doors can be opened. Pressure plates and buttons follow normal rules so they cannot be used. Opening chests also follows normal permissions. Anything not listed above will follow the normal permissions set for each Land.

### 3. Ending

A war ends when one Nation receives enough points or the War Phase lasts a maximum of 36 hours. Either way, the Nation with the most points wins and the other Nation is the loser.

### How many points to win?

The number of points needed to win is calculated based on the number of players within the smaller Nation. Each player adds 10 to the requirement with a minimum of 100 points.

```jsx
num_points_to_win = max(num_player_in_smaller_nation * 10, 100)
```

For example, Nation A has 22 players and Nation B has 41 players. For this war, Nation A is smaller so 22 \* 10 = 220 points to win the war.

### Points: Player Kill

**1 point is granted for every player kill.**

Members of both Nations will see a red "ENEMY" tag above all players of the opposing nation.

### Points: Land Capture

A Capture Block can be crafted by any player. This block can be placed on a chunk adjacent to an enemy Nation Land to start a Land Capture. This will alert both Nations, send a beacon into the sky, and shoot fireworks every 30 seconds.

To complete the capture, the attackers must keep the Capture Block active for 20 minutes. A Capture Block is active when at least one attacking player is standing within the same chunk.

To defend against a capture, players may "remove" all enemies from the chunk or break the Capture Block. Removing all the enemies from the chunk will reset the 20 minutes capture countdown to 0. Breaking the block is the only way to permanently stop the capture.

**Successfully completing a Land Capture grants 7 points. Destroying the Capture Block of an enemy grants 3 points. Each Nation may have up to 3 Capture Blocks placed at once. Placing a Capture Block has a 10 minutes cooldown for that Nation.**

### Surrender

Both Nations currently at war have the option of surrendering at any time. A Tribute of $EMRD must be paid to the other Nation to accept your surrender. Once the Tribute is paid, the war instantly ends and the surrendering Nation is considered the loser.

{% hint style="danger" %}
The Tribute amount is decided by the attacking Nation before declaring war. The attacking Nation can also surrender by paying the Tribute amount they set.
{% endhint %}

### War Winner

When the war ends, the winners and losers are declared to the entire server. Depending on the server phase, the following events occur:

Phase 1: No war can be declared.

Phase 2: Wars are considered skirmishes in preparation for the next phase. Winners gain pride, pvp experience, and more players would be interested in joining the Nation. The losers lose morale and probably lost more resources in the process.

Phase 3: Land unclaimed through capture points remains unclaimed. The losers might have lost some chunks of land and the winners are now in a better strategic position to continue dominating.

### War Shield

After participating in a war, all of the Land from both Nations are protected by a 3 day war shield. This shield protects the Nation from being declared into another war.

After a successful surrender, the surrendering Nation receives a 4 day war shield.

## Specific War Rules

War is supposed to be a fun and competitive environment. Advantages and disadvantages are fine within Nations but there are still rules that should be followed.

{% hint style="info" %}
Anything here may be changed at any time. Any exploit or loophole found within these rules may be blocked and undone at any time. If you think what you’re about to do *might* be against the rules, ask an admin **before** you make your attempt.
{% endhint %}

#### 1. Leaders must reach out before declaring a war

> All war declarations MUST be discussed between Nation leaders before the declare command is called to officially start the war.\
> \
> The war process is about building fun and engaging stories. If you want to war, you must give the opposing side the opportunity to consider their options, try to negotiate peace, or discuss with their allies.

#### 2. Leaders must disclose which Land they will select to declare the war.

> This is just in case the defending Nation has something misconfigured with their Nation capital or land setup. This will be considered abusing war mechanics to secretly select a Land that causes issues later on in the war without disclosing it **before the declaration.**

#### 3. Ignoring war discussions

> Communication before war is required. If the Nation leader is refusing to communicate about the war, the attackers may declare the war anyways after 3 days of no responses. You **must** reach out to an Admin about the lack of communication and we will respond if you’re allowed to proceed with the 3 day countdown or not.
>
> Reasons for not allowing the countdown may include: Personal reasons with the Nation team or owners that prevents them for participating in a war starting in 24 hours.

#### 4. Power Regime

> If one Nation or group of players bring constant issues with wars, they may be banned from the war feature or the Nation may be forced to disband. \
> \
> **This does not mean if you win too many wars, you’re blocked**. \
> \
> This rule covers Nations who are causing constant toxicity to other Nations or constantly trying to abuse the war mechanics. Our wars will get messy sometimes if a pattern emerges where many problems are caused by one team, the admins will deal with this accordingly to ensure the overall gameplay is fun for all.

#### 5. No Unethical Actions

> These are actions that are not fun or healthy for long term gameplay. The admins will keep track of these per war and per nation. Warnings will be given out and final punishments may be covered until the “4. Power Regime” rule.
>
> * **Spawn Killing**: Allowed ONCE per player. If a player spawns right in front of your, it’s fair game to kill them. Guarding a spawn point or trapping it to instantly kill players counts an unethical kill. This does NOT include players loading into the world. This only includes a player dying and then respawning and being killed right when they respawn.
> * **Excessive Griefing:** During the war, things may get hectic and destructive battle tactics like cobble spam or lava buckets are allowed. If the war is already ending and players start destroying landscapes or spamming lava just to ruin the land for later, this is excessive and not allowed. **Do what you need to do to win. Do NOT destroy or pillage just to ruin an area.**
> * **Toxicity:** Spamming chat. Screaming in voice calls. Cursing. Personal insults. Emotions could get high but keep it under control when attacking other players.

# Dashboard

## Withdraw Process

To move $EMRD from your game character to your blockchain wallet, you start a withdraw in-game. <br>

1. Log in to your game character, join a game world (leave the lobby) and use the `/withdraw <amount>` command. There is a short waiting period while your funds are validated to ensure a secure transaction. You can use the in-game withdraw menu to view progress.&#x20;
2. Once your withdraw is verified, your "Withdraw Available" amount will increase on the Dashboard website. Visit the Dashboard, login with your wallet and click on "Characters" . Choose your game character to see this amount. Each character creates separate withdraw requests.&#x20;
3. With the correct character selected, click the `Withdraw` button. This will prompt your blockchain wallet to process the transaction (example: Metamask will open).&#x20;

{% hint style="danger" %}
If you decline the wallet withdraw request, your `Withdraw Available` balance will reset to 0 $EMRD even though you didn't receive any. \
&#x20;\
**DO NOT WORRY! Your $EMRD is perfectly safe.** \
\
Click "History" to find your latest withdraw transaction and click the "Resubmit" button. This will prompt your blockchain wallet again to process the transaction.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

## Deposit Process

1. Visit the Dashboard website and log in with your wallet. Make sure you're switched to the wallet containing your GamePass and you're on the Ethereum Mainnet Network.&#x20;
2. Click "Characters" and choose your game character. Your $EMRD will transfer from your wallet directly to a single character game balance.&#x20;
3. The "Wallet Balance" is the $EMRD you currently have in your selected blockchain wallet. Click the "Deposit" button, select the $EMRD amount, and click "Confirm Deposit".&#x20;
4. You wallet will open with a transaction to deposit your selected $EMRD. Once you confirm this transaction, your game character will receive the $EMRD instantly. You will see a success notification on the website and receive a message in-game as soon as this happens.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
Deposits and Withdraws (moving $EMRD from wallet to game balance) is the only time **GAS FEES** are paid. \
The fee amounts are set by the Ethereum network. CryptoCraft does NOT get these fees and we have no control over the prices or network transaction times.
